President Trump to Impose 10% Tariff on Some EU Countries, UK, and Norway Starting Feb. 1

The below was taken in part from the NCBFAA:

President Trump said in a Truth Social post on Saturday morning, January 17th, that starting February 1st, he will impose a 10% tariff on “any and all goods” imported into the US from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Finland, increasing the tariff to 25% by June 1st.

“This tariff will be due and payable until such time as a deal is reached for the complete and total purchase of Greenland,” the president said.

He added, “The United States of America is immediately open to negotiation with Denmark and/or any of these countries that have put so much at risk, despite all that we have done for them, including maximum protection, over so many decades.”

At this time, there is no further CBP guidance nor has an Executive Order been issued. RIM logistics, ltd. will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation and provide updates as necessary. Please reach out to your RIM representative if you have any questions.
