NORFOLK  – Port Status: Condition II / Yankee; Anticipate Condition I / Zulu by 05/16:00

  • Terminal Ops Status: OPEN
  • Marine Ops Status: OPEN

BALTIMORE – Port Status: Port Condition III / X-Ray

Port Condition YANKEE is expected to be set 19:00/04-Sept for Sector HR. Port Condition ZULU is expected to be set 16:00/05-Sept for Sector HR . This condition is typically set 12hrs following the setting of YANKEE, but may be either delayed or moved ahead pending actual storm speed and subject to storm path. HR NOTESUS Navy sortie of about 20-30 vessels may begin AM/04-Sept and subject to storm path/speed their return may be during the upcoming weekend.

Rail Operations

As of 11:00 am this morning, Hurricane Dorian was located 95 miles ENE of Daytona Beach, with sustained winds of 105 MPH.  Dorian is expected to move parallel to Florida’s and Georgia’s coasts through tonight.

Projections are that Dorian will move close or make landfall over the coasts of South and North Carolina Thursday – Friday.

  • The rail embargo for cargo destined to both Charleston and Savannah remains in effect until the storm passes. All rail ramps in both ports remain closed.
  • The Florida East Coast Railroad may resume operations tomorrow. TBA
  • The marine terminals in Wilmington – Jacksonville – Charleston and Savannah remain closed.
  • Miami will reopen Sept. 05th.
  • Port Everglades and Tampa resumed operations this morning.
  • Norfolk TBC, all subject to the track of the storm.
