The original four-year period of Section 301 tariffs on Chinese goods ended in 2022. However, a review allowed the tariffs to continue indefinitely unless terminated by the USTR. Certain tariff exclusions were extended through August 31st, 2025, but USTR has stated they will not extend them beyond that date. While many exclusions that initially expired were temporarily renewed, importers should prepare for potential tariff increases once the current exclusions expire.
