UK Port Strikes

The United Kingdom is again being impacted with an additional strike action set at the Port of Felixstowe. The Ports of Liverpool and Felixstowe in the United Kingdom have been significantly impacted in recent weeks with earlier strike action. The latest strike action dates have been announced by union employees at the port of Felixstowe. The strike is set to begin at 0700 hours on Tuesday, September 27th and is expected to end at 0659 hours on Wednesday, October 5th. The port of Felixstowe, which carries 48% of containers annually to the US, is expected to be at a standstill, much like the previous strike at the port last month.

Customers should expect disruptions at this time and should be prepared to consider alternative routings or modes of transport to minimize shipment delays.

RIM logistics, ltd. will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep you advised of any updates as they become known. Please contact your RIM representative should you have any questions or need additional information.
