Over the last week, two ports in the United Kingdom have announced potential strike action. First is the Port of Felixstowe. The management of Hutchison Ports and the hourly branch of Unite Union have been unable to reach an agreement following a revised pay offer being rejected. As a result, strike action is due to take place between August 21st – 29th, unless a resolution is found before this time.

Additionally, on August 15th, the management of Peel Ports announced that employees of the Unite Union voted in favor of strike action at the Port of Liverpool. The dates of the strike are not yet known; however,  the announcement has confirmed that no strike action will take place at the Port of Liverpool prior to the third week of September.

Customers may expect disruptions at this time.
