Tropical Storm Ian

Tropical Storm Ian has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is forecasted to hit parts of the Southeastern United States as a hurricane as early as September 26th. Warnings are extending from the Gulf of Mexico coast through the interior Southeast over to the Mid-Atlantic states. As of now, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama are expected to be in the direct line of the storm during the first half of the week.

As usual, during hurricane season, the development and movement of these storms are unpredictable. Port and inland operations are expected to be impacted throughout the week with possible closures at port terminals and airports, as well as expected impacts to railroad and trucking operations throughout the Southeastern United States.
