Fuel Updates

Fuel is at $3.739 for the week, which is down from $3.766 the previous week.

The post-Labor Day slump is behind us. Spot load posts and spot truck posts have both increased. There is freight to move, and there are carriers looking to move it. This has caused spot rates to decrease.

Reefer Freight:

• Spot rates are down 0.4%.
• The load-to-truck ratio increased 3.4%.

Van Freight:

• Spot rates are down 2%.
• The load-to-truck ratio decreased 10%.

Flatbed Freight:

• Spot rates are down 0.8%
• The load-to-truck ratio increased 8.4%.
