Fuel Updates

Fuel is at $3.775 for the week, which is up from $3.571 the previous week.

Shippers are still feeling out the trade environment, and the truckload market has held in place as a result. Reefer rates saw a bump as we get closer to the Fourth of July, though produce season has not led to the levels of demand seen in previous years.

Reefer Freight:

• Current national spot average is $2.34
• Load-to-truck ratio is up 2.6% from last week

Van Freight:

• Current national spot average is $2.00 per mile
• Load-to-truck ratio is down 1.3%

Flatbed Freight:

• Current national spot average is $2.56 per mile
• Load-to-truck ratio remains steady
