Fuel Updates
Fuel is at $3.571 for the week. Up from $3.471, the previous week.
Truckload spot market continues to mostly move sideways. The national average rates for van and flatbed have upward movement, but reefer rates remain flat with produce volume down YoY.
Although, watermelons and oranges are at peak in California, Georgia, Florida and parts of Alabama.
Reefer Freight:
- Current national spot average remains at $2.33
- Load to truck ratio dropped 3.6% from last week, although still up 28% from April
- Spot rates remain stagnant with no movement
- Capacity tight in produce states
National average for reefer:

Van Freight:
- National spot rate up 1%
- Load to truck ratio down nearly 5%, although still almost 30% up, from April
- Could start to see increased demand for produce and beverages, now through 4Th of July weekend, with Summer in full effect
National average for van:

Flatbed Freight:
- National spot rate up 1.5%
- Load to truck ratio down 8%
- Capacity and rates are starting to align with typical seasonal patterns, after increasing due to seasonal trends, restocking and infrastructure repair
