Fuel Updates
Fuel is at $3.639 for the week, which is up from $3.592 last week.
Reefer Freight:
- The load-to-truck ratio has increased 20% week-over-week.
- Spot rates have increased .5%.
- We will continue to see an increase in spot rates for temperature-controlled freight with produce moving more in spring and summer.
National average for reefer:

Van Freight:
- The load-to-truck ratio has increased 8.6% week-over-week.
- Spot rates have increased .5%.
- With vans being parked in exchange for reefer trailers, we could start to see a pivot in the spot rates.
National average for van:

Flatbed Freight:
- The load-to-truck ratio has decreased 6.2%.
- Spot quotes have decreased 1.5%.
- With warmer weather approaching, we may see capacity return in northern areas.
- The return of capacity could mean lower spot rates in the northern areas.
- Due to the capacity moving north, we could see higher spot rates in the southern areas.
- Due to frost laws, over-dimensional freight will be impacted.
