Important Changes to EU Customs Filings with ICS2 | Effective June 3rd, 2024
The European Union (EU) is in the process of implementing the Import Control System 2 (ICS2), a new IT system created to collect data on all goods entering the EU prior to arrival. Advance cargo information and risk analysis will enable early identification of threats and will help customs authorities to intervene at the most appropriate point in the supply chain.
To comply with this new requirement, Economic Operators (EOs) will have to declare safety and security data to ICS2 through the Entry Summary Declaration (ENS). The new Import Control System 2 (ICS2) will be implemented on June 3rd, 2024.
Key Changes:
